Mix Masters is the creative collaboration of artists Dustin Harris and Lea Pinsky. Together, we have a passion for working for and with communities to beautify spaces. Since 2005 we have led numerous large-scale mural projects in schools, community centers, and public spaces around Chicago.
Artist, Teacher, Education Director, and my main collaborator.
This is one of the DJ companies I work with, run by my friend and respected DJ Spencer Lokken.
I have djed for Birdsong 3 for various events they have marketed, organized, and seamlessly executed. GvR, Hometown Heroes, Grassroots Basketball of America-GBOA, are a few of the skatebaording, snowboarding, surfing, and basketball competions held to their credit. Plus, they're just cool people.
Great child-hood friend. Master producer. Collaborator. Tucker Harper's tracks always make me smile and get me hyped to keep searching for new sounds, rhythms and ways to make music. If you take the time to listen to his plethora of compositions, you will not be disappointed! This man is a true artist, humble to his creative accomplishments.
Joanna is an extremely talented and dedicated artist like I've never met before. She lives and breathes art. In addition to her work as an artist, Joanna Pinsky is a co-founder and Artistic Director of Art Encounter, a nearly 30 year old non-profit education organization. Her art is constantly evolving, progressing and challenging with a colorful, inspiring beauty and depth to ignite great conversation.
Good good friend Paul Amitai has been making great music since his teenage years when he fronted the ska-based Milwaukee band The Pacers, while I toasted and played trombone in the Chicago band Skapone. After that, he and I were in a 4-piece band JookBeat, which experimented with dub, live drum and bass, soul, funk, trip-hop along with keyboardist David Wake and Erik Radloff. Paul continues to write, record and produce with his current album getting much acclaim. Listen or download his latest album here...It is unique, great music!
Rome Won is one of my favorite Chicago artists. His art consistently challenges me to see things a little bit differently than before I had experienced it. We worked together on a live painting for a Myspace promotional show. We had never worked together before the gig, but the piece turned out great. He's one cool dude, and an exceptional artist.
Kane and I had never met before we did a live collaborative mural/painting project spring 2009. It was for the Red Bull-Open Run basketball tournament at The Aragon Ballroom. The canvas' we had to paint on were 5ft tall and 40 ft long. From the moment I talked to him, I knew it was going to be a fun day. He's one cool dude, with massive amounts of style and it was great to work with him. Check out his blog spot. This cat does amazing art.
This guy is a great photographer. I have a few of his photos of the mural/painting I did with KANE ONE for a Red Bull-Open Run basketbal tournament spring 2009. You can see the shots in my 'mural' section, or just click on the link and check out his website.
I like Ruben's style. He took some great shots of the mural/painting I did with KANE ONE for the Red Bull-Open Run basketball tournament spring 2009. The photos are in my 'mural' section.
Chad's photos and unique approach to getting the shot speaks for itself. This guy rocks when it comes to taking photos, as well as being one cool dude! Check him out now!
From the moment I met Leigh I knew she was not only a super cool person but an amazing talent. She naturally brings her great energy to her photography. Check out her website.
